These are a few photos from the 1st Annual Johnny Walker Dove Hunt at Shane Smith's in Alabama.
Johnny Walker was a very well respected sportsman and friend that everyone knew and loved. I met him only a couple times but right off the bat, I knew he was a special man. With his friendly and helpful ways, he had me hitting skeet one after another in just a few minutes. (It could have been that Weatherby over and under of his that he let me use!!) Still today, everytime I go to shoot, I try to put a foot forward on firm ground and lean into it like Johnny told me to. When I do, I always picture him showing me and telling me how to do it.
Johnny will be missed but will always be with us especially in the outdoors!
(I don't think I got photos of everyone that was there so most are of the people closest to me. It was also raining that day which kept my camera 'in the dry' for most of the hunt.)
